New accounts are watched closely. If you post too early or act too aggressively, the account can look synthetic before it has any trust built up.
Warmup timeline
- Days 1-2: create the account, complete the profile, and watch content
- Days 3-5: increase viewing time and light engagement
- Days 6-7: prepare the first upload
- Days 8-10: publish the first test videos
- Days 11-14: move into a normal posting rhythm
What to avoid
- Posting in the first 24 hours
- Mass-like or mass-follow behavior
- Copy-paste comments
- Frequent profile changes
- Using the same device for too many accounts too quickly
What success looks like
- The For You feed matches your niche
- Test posts get normal early traction
- Search and hashtag discovery start working
Warmup is the price of a healthy account. Skip it, and the algorithm often does the opposite of what you want.
